Patent images of Tata Tigor facelift revealed! What to expect, changes explained

Tata Motors Soon after the launch of the updated Tiago, it seems that an update to the Tigor compact sedan is being prepared. Patent images of the facelifted model have surfaced online via a government filing, revealing some key exterior details. The updated Tigor is expected to follow the styling direction introduced on the recently updated Tiago hatchback and is likely to go on sale in the coming months.

New Tata Tigor: What to expect

Patent images show a redesigned front end, a slimmer fascia and sleeker LED headlights. Tata has also redesigned the front bumper, which now integrates a revised grille and redesigned fog lamp housings. New alloy wheel designs are also visible. You can also expect a redesigned rear bumper, updated LED taillight elements and a revised color palette.Inside, the Tigor is expected to have a similar cabin to the new Tiago, with a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a separate digital instrument cluster and Tata’s latest two-spoke steering wheel design.Features expected to be added include a 360-degree camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charger, Type-C charging port, auto-folding ORVMs, and rear AC vents. AMT-equipped models are likely to get a redesigned gear selector.Under the hood, the facelifted Tigor is expected to retain its existing powertrain options. The sedan is likely to continue to use the familiar 1.2-liter petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or an AMT. Tata is also expected to continue to offer factory-fitted CNG versions.With the launch of the Tiago facelift, the updated Tigor is expected to be the next fully refreshed model in Tata’s compact car lineup. Once launched, it will continue to compete with rivals like Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Hyundai Aura in the sub-four meter sedan segment.
