Marvel Studios surprised fans around the world when they released the trailer for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ on Monday. The clip soon took social media by storm and registered a record debut. The first official trailer for the highly anticipated superhero epic racked up 503 million views in its first 24 hours, making it Disney’s biggest trailer release and the second biggest trailer ever.

According to Disney, the trailer for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ garnered an estimated 503 million views worldwide in its first day online, placing it behind only ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, whose trailer debuted with 719 million views.The release also surpassed Disney’s previous record holder, the 2024 ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Super Bowl teaser, which garnered 365 million views, including its TV audience.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo celebrated the achievement by thanking Marvel fans on social media. Sharing stills from the trailer, the duo wrote, “A big thank you to the best fans in the world! 500 million trailer views in 24 hours. We can’t wait to share Doomsday with you. The film generated $16.5 million in advance ticket sales on its first day, although bookings were initially limited to premium large format auditoriums.According to studio insiders, many premium screenings scheduled for December 17 and 18 sold out shortly after tickets became available online.The pre-sales on the first day of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ are double those recorded by ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ during its first day of bookings. That film eventually opened to $211 million domestically and grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide.
