Every day of my musical journey she has it in her. Her songs and singing have been a ‘text book’ that I am still learning from,” he wrote.

Shweta Mohan said that she admired S. Janaki not only for her music but also for the kind of person she was. She has always been genuine and pure, loving and mature, calm and strong-willed, approachable and down-to-earth, yet still casually being the absolute queen that she is.” He said Janaki’s caring nature and humble personality made everyone around her feel loved and respected. Shweta also recalled working closely with S. Janaki for the past two years on S. Janaki — The Composer. She wrote: “I have had the great fortune to work closely with her over the past two years at ‘S. Janaki — The Composer’, in which Amma made me sing four songs, composed and written by herself.
