2026 Renault Kiger launched: new variants, changes explained

Renault India has expanded its Kiger product line-up with the launch of four new models with naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol powertrains. The update is designed to make turbocharged performance and premium features more accessible to buyers. Following the revised range, the Renault Kiger Turbo is now priced at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable turbo-powered sub-compact SUV. Renault has also launched a new Evolution+ model with naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines starting at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can book the updated Kiger online or visit their nearest Renault dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.

The Evolution variant sits above the entry-level trim and comes with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights, an 8-inch infotainment system with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, audio controls on the steering wheel, rear AC vents, fabric seat upholstery, electrically adjustable ORVMs and a rear parking camera. The Evolution+ interior brings features such as smart access card with push-button start/stop function, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone duplication, driver’s seat height adjustment and light-coloured embossed fabric upholstery.

The Evolution variant offers several features carried over from the higher-spec Techno trim. The Techno version also adds LED headlights and 16-inch Flex wheels. As the range-topping model, the Emotion model exclusively offers features such as ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, diamond-cut alloy wheels and selectable driving modes.As part of the update, Renault has expanded its Kiger Turbo product portfolio from three to five models. The Techno trim now comes with a turbo-petrol engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox, giving buyers another performance-focused option in the range. The naturally aspirated Kiger product line has also been expanded from six to eight types, providing customers with a wider range of functions and price options.The Renault Kiger continues to be offered with two engine options – 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (72 hp, 96 Nm) and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine (100 hp, 160 Nm of torque). The turbo engine is available in manual, CVT and now a wider range of variant options. NA engine comes with 5-speed MT or AMT gearbox.
