The Telegraph reported that while on set, after the day’s filming was over, the actor was in a wooded area with a couple of film technicians when it all happened.It was also reported that the problem is suspected to be caused by an insect bite as he had suddenly felt something in his leg. The injury did not appear to be serious at the time, so the actor chose not to receive treatment or help immediately.However, after a couple of hours, he started to feel worse and had a sharp pain in his right leg. He later boarded a flight to Calcutta, where he developed a high fever and became even more uncomfortable. The report also shared that after landing at Kolkata airport he was rushed to a nearby private hospital to be admitted and treated for his symptoms.By now, according to the report, the actor was suffering from a severe infection in his right leg, which spread to his toes and knees. All this has also led to Sharma developing respiratory problems along with a very high fever.

The Association of Cinema Workers of India, also known as AICWA, has officially demanded that the matter be investigated further. In a statement, reported by IANS, the group stated that the authorities need to look deeper and closer into the matter of Rajesh Sharma and how his health deteriorated so rapidly while on the set of ‘Fauji’.Their statement read: “The film industry has a legal and moral responsibility to provide a safe, hygienic and medically prepared working environment for every artist, technician and worker. Unfortunately, the AICWA has repeatedly raised concerns about poor hygiene, inadequate sanitation, unsafe working conditions and a lack of adequate emergency medical facilities at various filming locations across the country.“They also talked about the need to be transparent about the issues of cinema plates and how not everything reaches the public. In addition, it has also been mentioned that many people do not speak up about similar situations even when they need to for fear of losing their jobs.As of now, fans and netizens have been waiting for another update on the actor’s health and how he is feeling now.
