The actor credited his son, Vardaan, for bringing “good fortune” into his life, saying that he believes every child comes with their own destiny and blessings. Vikrant also reflected on his emotional journey after receiving Indian cinema’s top acting honor for playing IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma in Vidhu Vinod Choprathe critically acclaimed biographical drama.

The actor credited his son for bringing good fortune into his life, saying he firmly believes that every child comes with their own destiny and blessings. Speaking to IANS after receiving the National Film Award for Best Actor for ’12th Fail’, he said, “I completely believe in it. I believe in it completely. Because in our family it is said that each child carries his own destiny. And I believe in that too. A lot has changed since he arrived. And I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I’m very, very grateful.”
