In a statement issued through the Tamil Nadu Information and Public Relations Department, Vijay congratulated all the winners in the Tamil film industry. His message read, “My sincere congratulations to the Tamil film fraternity for creating history by winning 10 National Film Awards in various categories. It is a matter of great pride that Tamil cinema has bagged these honours. I wish our film industry many more such successes in the years to come.” The Chief Minister also recognized the winners individually, including Dhanush for “Raayan”, Rajkumar PeriasamyGV Prakash Kumar and R. Kalaivanan for ‘Amaran’, Anl Arasu and Sachana Namidass for ‘Maharaja’, Suren G for ‘Meiyazhagan’ and Hari Harasudhan for the short film ‘Blue.

Vijay’s congratulatory message was warmly received by several national award winners. Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy acknowledged the Chief Minister’s gesture to X, writing, “Sincere thanks to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for the wishes.” Composer GV Prakash Kumar, who won the National Award for Best Music Direction (Background Score) for ‘Amaran’, also expressed his gratitude after receiving Vijay’s wishes.
