Now it looks like a cake has joined that list. TN CM and Vijay’s 52nd birthday celebration cake has become a hit in Chennai, with customers naming it after him.
Vijay’s viral birthday cake
On Vijay’s 52nd birthday, actress Trisha Krishnan has shared a birthday photo with Vijay. The photo showed the two smiling together and she wrote: “To the person who makes everything worthy. HBD.” Soon after the picture went viral, many fans started noticing the cakes seen at the celebration. Almost a month after photos of the celebration went viral on social media, the vanilla mango cake has become one of the bakery’s most popular items.
CM cake Baker shares his surprise
Speaking to India Today, Chennai-based baker Tanvi Bokaria said the sudden response was completely unexpected. She revealed that her bakery had no idea about the cake being made for Vijay’s birthday. She said: “This was an overnight hit for us. We had no idea what occasion the cake was for. It was incredibly special and caught me completely off guard. The last two weeks have been extremely chaotic with sales, but I’m grateful.”He also added, “My team are big fans of CM Joseph Vijay.”
Increase in orders
According to Tanvi, the bakery has sold 300-400 of the same mango vanilla cake in just two weeks. He said, “We sold 300-400 of these CM Vijay birthday cakes in just a couple of weeks. It was absolutely crazy!”The cake has also been given a new name by the customers. Tanvi said that people no longer ask for the mango cake.She said: “It’s not called Mango Cake anymore. It’s now called CM Cake. That’s how customers place their orders now: ‘Can we get the CM Cake?'”He also shared that this is the highest number of orders his bakery has received for a single cake.Vijay is currently gearing up for the release of his much awaited film ‘Jana Nayagan’. The film is said to be his last film and will be released in theaters on July 23. After a prolonged issue with the CBFC, it has now received an ‘A’ certificate.
