The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2026. Candidates who appeared for the written examination can now check the PDF result on the official website of UPSC.According to the agency, 1,340 people have taken the Interview/Personality Test based on their Engineering Services (Main) Examination which was held on June 21, 2026.UPSC has clarified that the appointment of all the candidates is provisional and will be based on merit. Candidates must produce original documents regarding age, educational qualification, region, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), disability benchmark (if applicable), and other relevant statements at the time of Personality Test.

The committee will soon open an online window of 15 days for the selected candidates. At this stage, the candidates have to log into the UPSC selection portal, update their details and upload the proof of passing the qualifying examination. Candidates who fail to complete the process will not be allowed to appear in the Personality Test, and their candidature may be cancelled.Apart from uploading required documents, candidates can also update their postal address, advanced qualifications, achievements, work details, work experience, job classification and preferences. UPSC has said that all the shortlisted candidates are required to submit the online application form at this window, though no changes are required. This is essential for creating an e-Summon Letter.The Personality Test schedule will be announced separately. Candidates will be able to download their e-Summon letter from the UPSC website as soon as it is released. The Commission will also publish a list of interviews in order of number. UPSC has said that requests to change interview date or time will not be accepted.The board also said that the marks of qualified and unqualified candidates will be uploaded only after the final results are announced after the completion of the Personality Test.
