‘Trikala – The Script of God’, the supernatural thriller in Telugu, directed by Shraddha Das i to Mahendrawas released in theaters on May 28 this year. “Trikala – The Script of God” began airing on Sun NXT from July 9. Confirming the digital release, the makers shared a post that read, “Darkness is ready to HUNT.” The narrative explores themes such as Sanatana Dharma, reincarnation, black magic and mystical powers.
Public reactions remain divided
During its theatrical release, ‘Trikala – The Script of God’ received mixed responses from the viewers.One viewer wrote online: “The film starts on a promising note and manages to grab your attention for the first 20 minutes. Unfortunately, after that, it completely loses its direction. The basic concept had a lot of potential, but the makers failed to turn it into an engaging story. There’s nothing fresh or memorable and the script feels weak and inconsistent.”Another audience member shared, “The online description claims that the film strongly portrays Sanatana Dharma, but I didn’t feel that the film lived up to that promise. In my opinion, the promotional description created expectations that the film did not live up to.”
Story ‘Trikala – God’s Script’
The story begins in the legendary land of Kumari Kandam. Powerful sages protect sacred scriptures believed to possess extraordinary abilities. They fear that these secrets may fall into the hands of evil forces and create a divine weapon and entrust it to the warrior Trikala Varma.During a fierce battle against the dark powers, Trikala Varma sacrifices his life to protect humanity. Sages keep his soul within the mystical Maya Andam and believe that it will one day return during the Kali Yuga to face evil once more. The film follows the mystery surrounding this prophecy.
