The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) is expected to announce the Class 10th (SSLC), Class 11, and Class 12 (HSC) supplementary examination results on the official website, tnresults.nic.in. The results are expected to be released in the last week of July, after which students will be able to download their term papers from the official website. The supplementary examination is an important opportunity for students who could not complete one or more subjects in the annual board examination. DGE has already announced the results of supplementary examination for private candidates on July 22, 2026. Once declared, the students can check their result from Tamil Nadu official website and DGE website. Apart from these websites, long-term results will be provided through DigiLocker and SMS so that students have multiple ways to check their results.The candidates must have their registration number and date of birth to avoid delay in checking the result once their link is activated.Additional exams are taken every year by students who have failed to clear the board exams in one or more subjects. Additional tests give candidates a better chance of success in the future.This year the Class 12 supplementary exams will be held from June 29 to July 7, 2026. On the other hand, the Class 10 exams will be held from July 8 to July 15, and the Class 11 exams will be held from July 8 to July 16.

- Go to the official website of Tamil Nadu results, tnresults.nic.in.
- Click on the appropriate link for SSLC, HSE +1 or HSE +2 Supplementary Result 2026.
- Enter the registration number and date of birth.
- Submit information to see results.
- Copy and print the temporary paper for future use.
The website will serve as a temporary document until students receive their first certificates.
Students need to know
To clear the supplementary examination, students must score at least 35 marks out of 100 in each subject.For courses with a qualifying examination, candidates must secure a minimum of 15 marks in the theory test and the overall qualification set by the board.The DGE is supposed to distribute the preliminary papers through the schools from July 30, 2026. Candidates who clear the supplementary examination will be eligible to participate in other admission processes, which include the supplementary counseling sessions of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA).
