Star of ‘Ted Lasso’ Hannah Waddingham has his own thoughts on whether he’d like to play the next James Bond. During one of his last interviews, while promoting his show ‘Ride or Die’, he thought about the future of James Bond, women taking on the role, and whether he would be interested.

The actress recently attended the premiere of her latest show, ‘Ride or Die’, where she was asked if she would ever like to play the role of James Bond. The star quickly laughed and replied that it would not be something he would ever be interested in. She said: “No! God no! No, this is my version of 007, a woman doesn’t need to play James Bond – we have other things to do,” while speaking to PEOPLE about the issue.Regarding his love of strong characters, Waddingham added: “It’s their truth, it’s who they are in quiet, that’s what appeals to me first. (My) interest is piqued by who they are when they’re alone, and the weaknesses and fears and aspirations they have when they’re alone.”Waddingham spoke more about her role in ‘Ride or Die’, stating that the show was enough 007 for her.Hannah Waddingham talks about her role in ‘Ride or Die’The actress opened up about her show further, stating, “I just said, ‘Oh my God, whoever gets to play this character next to Octavia has a dream role.'” I said, “What, you want me to give you casting advice? ‘Ride or Die’ Plot

The premise of the show revolves around two best friends forced to run across Europe after one of their identities as a murderer is revealed to the public. The show’s official premise reads: “Ride or Die follows best friends Debbie Claybourne and Judith Burton who thought they knew everything about each other, except Judith turns out to be an international assassin. When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past, and once things go horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they are forced to run together. It’s a race against time and a road trip across Europe, with law enforcement, highly trained assassins and some very dangerous criminals hot on their heels.”‘Ride or Die’ premieres on Prime Video on July 15. The suspense comedy film will have 8 episodes in total.
