Amaal Mallikthe singer-songwriter, has deleted a series of explosive posts he had previously shared calling out another music composer Tanishk Bagchi. However, he quickly clarified that taking down the posts does not indicate a retraction of his allegations, saying he was simply looking to clean up the “garbage” cluttering his social media timeline.
Amaal Mallik on staying silent for a decade
In a new statement released to X on July 26, Amaal made it clear that he was not retracting his statements, but simply archiving the posts. He explained that this decision was born “from a place of clarity” and maintained that he had already “done what was necessary”. In addition, the singer claimed that he had kept his silence for nearly ten years before finally deciding to speak up. “It took a lot of patience, almost 10 years to keep my anger inside. Today, after a decade, I had to stand up… because nobody wants to stand up for what’s right,” he wrote, claiming he had decided to expose what he called the “scum” of the music industry.
Amaal Mallik warning to Tanishk Bagchi
Amaal claimed that he had brought to light the “truth” about “a very bad man”, expressing confidence that karma would eventually catch up. He also had a pointed warning for Tanishk, writing in Hindi, “Bete, mujhse toh aukaat mein hi rehna” (Son, you better stay within your bounds with me.) which he described as a “lifelong warning”. He added that if he encountered further offences, he would not hesitate to speak up once more.
Amaal Mallik’s previous allegations against Tanishk Bagchi

He also reported being threatened through the invocation of Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis‘, and further claimed that Tanishk had emotionally abused and deceived a woman on the pretext of marrying her.
