The makers of the movie ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ have released the first song from the movie. Titled ‘Tabaahi’, the song gives audiences a glimpse of the much-awaited action drama. Featuring Yash and Kiara Advani together for the first time, the music video combines romance, elegant visuals and emotional intensity. Composed and sung by Vishal Mishrawith lyrics by Raj Shekhar in Hindi, the song has also been released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The visually rich song has instantly become one of the most talked about music videos of the year.
Yash and Kiara Advani’s chemistry takes center stage in ‘Tabaahi’
The music video unfolds as a very dark romantic canvas, establishing an intense and passionate love story between the lead characters, Yash and Kiara Advani. To build hype, the makers orchestrated a playful exchange on social media a day earlier, where the ‘Toxic’ official asked Kiara, “What do you call a forbidden love that only exists in stolen time?” She simply replied, “Tabaahi.”The four-minute-twenty-six-second video sets a mature, philosophical tone from the start, opening with a famous quote from 13th-century Persian poet Rumi: “Beyond the ideas of right and wrong, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.”What follows is an incredibly immersive visual landscape shaped by director Geethu Mohandas. Abandoning generic romantic backdrops, the video uses a distinctly retro aesthetic that captures Yash and Kiara sharing intimate, rain-soaked embraces in the backseats of vintage cars, driving convertibles on coastal roads, navigating cobbled alleys and sharing stolen glances inside a Ferris wheel cabin above a moody carnival.Yash looks remarkably rugged with long flowing hair, a bushy beard and dark leather jackets, which contrasts elegantly with Kiara’s classic European-inspired wardrobe.
Fans call it a visual spectacle and praise the lead pair
Fans have been sharing overwhelmingly positive reactions to ‘Tabaahi’, with many praising the music, visuals and chemistry between Yash and Kiara Advani. A fan wrote, “#Tabaahi is the real deal. What a composition! And the chemistry between #Yash and #KiaraAdvani is simply electric. This is not just a romantic song, it’s about two souls so consumed by each other that love itself turns into destruction.” Another commented, “Kiara Advani is the boldest actress in India right now without a doubt. #Tabaahi.”A different fan shared: “They’re making us look exactly where they want us to go… IYKYK. It almost seems like the intimate images are the distraction, while the deeper layer is quietly revealed in subtle glances. After #Tabaahi, I’m convinced we’re just seeing a layer of toxic.”Another reaction read, “Top chemistry from #Yash & #KiaraAdvani. Every frame is rich and grand. #Tabaahi video song out now. Dig it, definitely big.” Another fan added, “Top level Kiara Advani. Most expected it. Her presence is sure to be a blast in theaters. #Tabaahi.”
