Suniel Shetty revealed that he had doubts about joining ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ due to the large ensemble cast, but is glad he took the plunge. Brushing aside comparisons to ‘Tropic Thunder’, he left the verdict to the audience, while noting that “brain rot cinema” has its place and can strike a chord with viewers.

Although Suniel had reservations about signing up for ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, he is now glad he changed his mind. The film, directed by Ahmed Khan, has crossed Rs 50 crore in its opening weekend. As reported in Mid-day, “I was initially skeptical about doing it as I wasn’t sure if one could do justice to so many actors,” Shetty said of the ensemble film which has a lead cast of over 30 actors. “I knew the script was far-fetched, but since I felt comfortable with my producer Firoz A Nadiadwallah and Ahmed, I said yes.“
