The cast of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has been on a press tour to promote the film. During one of the scheduled interviews, the lead actor, Tom Hollandended up sparking some new issues about the film. From introducing new villains to darker themes, “Odyssey” got candid about what fans can expect from the July 31 release.
Tom Holland teases ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
While appearing on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, the cast of the latest “Spider-Man” movie spilled all about what fans can expect from the upcoming film. Holland called the upcoming film “one of the darkest chapters” in Peter Parker’s life, and even talked about how his character has chosen to live in isolation. He also commented that “One lesson he learned from Andrew’s character in the previous film is that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is ask for help, and I think he actively ignores that advice. And it’s having a profound effect on his life as a human being.”However, his superhero is completely different and “prosperous”. The actor commented that fans will see a more realistic version of Spider-Man in the upcoming film. Many details have been put into focus, including Spider-Man’s costume, which has been redone to pay homage to Tobey Maguire’s original Spider-Man costume. He also added,[Spider-Man] is thriving We’re probably seeing the truest version of what Spider-Man means to New York City. The tearing apart of those two worlds is such a fun thing to play.”
About ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’
The upcoming film will be set a few years after the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, after Peter Parker makes everyone forget two years through Doctor Strange’s spell. Spider-Man is back to save New York City; but this time he has no one with him. Although he continues to look after his friends who are enjoying their university life, things start to change with him. The film will have Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo reprising their MCU roles.Sadie Sink, who is best known for her work in ‘The Whale’ and ‘Stranger Things’ will also star in the film; however, the nature of her big screen character has been kept under wraps. Yelena Belova, played by Florence Pugh, is also rumored to make a cameo appearance in the latest Spider-Man film; however, nothing has been confirmed yet. Tramell Tillman, Marvin Jones III, Eman Esfandi and Liza Colón-Zayas also join the cast as new characters.
