The sudden elimination of ‘Satluj’ from ZEE5 has sparked a new debate, with the actor Kanwaljit Singh becoming the latest member of the film’s crew to express his disappointment. The film, based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, had been quietly released on the streaming platform on Friday evening without any promotional campaign. Although it quickly received positive reviews from viewers, it was pulled within 48 hours, leaving the audience and creators to search for answers.Kanwaljit, who plays a police chief in the film, questioned the decision to remove her from the platform and raised concerns about freedom of expression.“I spoke to Honey after the film was pulled, and she said they’re going to take the matter to court. But what I don’t understand is why they had to pull it? Even people who weren’t going to see it will want to see it now. It’s also been downloaded by a lot of people, so even though a lot of people would watch it, the producers will be losing out. But I want to ask, what is this freedom of expression?
