After that, there is no major release scheduled until the last week of November, which could also work in Maatrubhumi’s favour.

Other films scheduled for release on October 16

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao‘Raftaar’ and Emraan Hashmi-Genelia Deshmukh starrer ‘Gunmaster G9’ are slated to release on October 16, though the makers are yet to officially confirm the date.

Salman Khan might get a double release in 2027

According to reports, the issues are not resolved soon, ‘Maatrubhumi’ will be moved to next year. If it happens, two Salman Khan films will release in 2027. He is currently shooting for Vamshi Paidipally’s untitled film starring Nayanthara as the female protagonist.

‘Maatrubhumi – May War Rest In Peace’ stars Chitrangada Singh opposite Salman Khan, who plays the role of Colonel B Santosh Babu, with the story rooted in the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces. The makers have already released an announcement teaser and a handful of video songs to build excitement ahead of the launch.
