During the event, the famous actress, who made her Bollywood debut earlier this year with ‘Ek Din’, opened up about her portrayal of Mata Sita in the upcoming film, sharing that she meditated to prepare for the role. He shared that, “It’s not easy for actors to get roles like this. Because it’s not easy to play a goddess. There has to be a team that puts their heart and soul into making the best version of her.”She added that she felt like she was “chosen” to play the role, sharing that, “I don’t think I chose to play Sita maa. I was lucky enough to play this role. It’s not something you can look up or something you can type and say, that’s how I want to play. I would sit and meditate and say, Sita maa, you act through me. Whatever comes through me is what you want for the film.”She also discussed how she stayed ‘pure’, commenting that she “always kept myself as pure as possible, at least in my thoughts, to keep it very neutral. So I have the best version of myself putting myself out there.”

The famous director of the film also attended the event, and had nothing but good things to say about the lead team of ‘Ramayana’. Taking the stage, Nitesh Tiwari shared that “An actor’s eyes speak the truth. I have seen Ram in Ranbir’s eyes and Sita in Sai’s eyes. I felt the kind of sincerity I was looking for, I found it only in these beautiful souls. I don’t see Sai and Ranbir; I only see Sita and Ram in the film.”

While the trailer will be officially shared with the world on July 24 at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, some people who attended the Bharat Mandapam event got a glimpse of it during a special screening yesterday. The event was attended by most of the cast members.
