The demise of legendary playback singer S. The story recalls how a Malayali taxi driver played a crucial role in saving her life during a medical emergency in Chennai.Recognized as one of India’s greatest playback singers, Janaki enjoyed a career spanning over six decades. The singer also faced several fake death rumors over the years
Years ago, Janaki had repeatedly been the subject of false reports claiming her death. Despite the emotional nature of these rumors, she reportedly handled the situation with remarkable calm and grace.One of the first incidents occurred in 2010, when a newspaper in Andhra Pradesh mistakenly published the news of his death. Instead of reacting angrily, the singer laughed off the mistake. The medical emergency in Chennai almost turned fatal

While in Chennai, she suffered a severe allergic reaction after receiving an injection of penicillin.Reaction quickly turned to criticism. He lost consciousness and needed immediate medical attention. Every passing minute became crucial as his condition rapidly worsened.A Malayali taxi driver reportedly recognized the gravity of the emergency and acted without delay. He drove Janaki through the Chennai traffic at high speed and managed to reach a hospital within minutes to ensure that she received treatment at the right time.

She credited the unnamed taxi driver with saving her life and acknowledged that his timely intervention made the difference.Recalling the incident, the legendary singer described him as a “God-like man”. He also added that without their help he would never have regained consciousness.
