He describes how the idea for the sequel came about, co-starring Rick Josh Gad revealed that they originally wanted to talk about a reboot of the ‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’ movie. “Honestly, I had to say yes to that. It was the only way I could get Josh Gad to stop texting me,” Moranis told the panel, before adding, “We kept talking about it. I wasn’t really retired; I was just trading. But no, it came at the right time, and I started talking to these people and listening to it.“
