Breakout actress Anjali Anand recently shared heartwarming behind-the-scenes secrets from the sets of Karan Joharthe 2023 romantic drama ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which highlights an unexpected and deeply touching gesture from its co-star, Ranveer Singh. In a candid chat, the actress who was most recently seen in the starrer comedy Dhamaal 4 opposite Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh recalled how a schedule delay on her first day of shooting led Ranveer to take personal responsibility and offer a genuine apology.
Karan Johar’s sweet gesture on the set
In an interview with India Today, Anjali reflected on a moment that is still close to her heart. Sharing the memory, she said, “One memory from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani that I will always cherish is when we shot my eruption scene. Karan (Johar) sir loved the take so much that he came up to me and kissed me on the forehead. I will never forget it.” The actor also spoke about the special relationship he developed with the legendary actor Dharmendra during filming, describing those moments as priceless. “Another special memory is spending time with Dharamji on set. I would just sit with him for hours, and he would recite his poetry and shayaris to me. Those moments were priceless,” he said.
Ranveer Singh made her feel comfortable on the set
Anjali praised Ranveer, calling him an encouraging and thoughtful co-star who put her at ease throughout the shoot. “Working with Ranveer was amazing. Every scene with him was so much fun because he is such a motivating and generous co-actor. I remember on my first day of shooting, we couldn’t complete my scene. I had already posted on Instagram that I couldn’t wait for my first day in such a big film. Ranveer saw it and came up to me saying, ‘I’m sorry.’I told him, “Ranveer, only you know that my scene didn’t happen.” Everyone thinks I shot today,” he added.The actor added that what struck her the most was how Ranveer took responsibility for a situation that was beyond his control. “What touched me was how sensitive he was. He apologized sincerely that my scene couldn’t be filmed because his schedule was running late. The next day, he made sure he was present for my shoot. After my scene, he even went and got feedback from the team before coming back to cheer me on. That meant a lot,” he said.He shared that even after the completion of the film, their friendship has continued over time. “We’ve kept in touch over the years. We meet at friends’ weddings and other social gatherings, and he’s always just as charming. I saw Dhurandhar, I loved it. That hair flip was too good. He’s absolutely killing it, and I’m so happy for him. He deserves all this success and more. I love him,” concluded Anjali.
