“Ramayana: Part 1” hits theaters this Diwali, with the second part set to release on Diwali 2027. Ranbir Kapoor explained that the major moments between Ram and Ravana come later in the story, which is why he and Yash haven’t shared screen space so far.According to a report in India Today, Ranbir said, “Lord Rama and Ravana will appear together at the end of the film, perhaps with a meeting in the middle. But we didn’t shoot that. So we haven’t had a chance to work together. But I have known Yash for a long time and have been a huge fan of his work. I really think we need someone with his aura, his stardom, his perspective to play that role.”

Ranbir Kapoor also praised Yash’s take on Ravana, noting that the actor has broken away from how the character is usually portrayed on screen.Ranbir shared, “He has played him with such grace, aura and honesty that he has really brought Ravana to life.
