Raja Chaudhary has spoken again about his strange relationship with his daughter Palak Tiwarirevealing that he has blocked her on social media and no longer follows her life. The actor also reacted to the rumors linking him with Palak Ibrahim Ali Khansaying he has no reason to interfere because she doesn’t consider him her father.In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Raja said that he has come to terms with the distance between him and Palak, even though it continues to hurt him.When asked about Palak’s relationship with Ibrahim Ali Khan, Raja said that relationships are a normal part of growing up and he doesn’t see it as his place to comment.“It would bother me if she was a part of my life, but she doesn’t think of me as a father. You should ask her mother if it bothers her. Why should I bother? I’m just a biological parent, that’s all. This is what they told me. They told me that I have nothing to do with her. What can you do about it?” he said.Despite saying that he is no longer involved in her personal life, Raja maintained that he would always be there if he ever got his hands on her.“I’ll be there for her if she calls me in the middle of the night too, but she doesn’t need me in her life,” he added.
“I’ve blocked everything related to her”
Raja also revealed that he has blocked everything related to Palak on social media because keeping up with his life since yesterday became emotionally overwhelming.“I don’t want to see her photos, videos because I’ve done my level of begging. I’ve justified myself enough, saying how much I miss her. I don’t want any more,” he said.According to Raja, he took care of Palak every day until she turned eight. However, after his separation from Shweta Tiwaritheir relationship gradually faded away.“I’ve only spoken to her two or three times in the last 18 years,” he said.
“I was the unpaid home helper”
During the interview, Raja also reviewed his marriage with ex-wife Shweta Tiwari, stating that while he was earning for the family, he was taking care of everything else.“She earned and I managed everything. And she earned a lot. I was just a manager and who cares about a manager?” he saidShe alleged that constant misunderstandings and arguments eventually broke up the marriage.“I was the unpaid domestic helper and the unpaid driver. We were just fighting, not understanding each other. I was trying to make my point and she was just trying to make hers, but nobody’s point was being made. It was just a broken family,” he said.
The separation caused a mental breakdown
Raja admitted that the breakup took a serious emotional toll on him, eventually leading to alcoholism and a stint in rehab.“It wasn’t just alcoholism. It was a mental breakdown; these were all my emotions. I had no control over anything. I couldn’t even see my daughter. I couldn’t understand the fact that my daughter was no longer with me. I had a very strong connection with her,” he said.Shweta Tiwari and Raja Chaudhary married in 1999 and later separated after Shweta accused him of domestic violence, harassment and alcoholism. Their divorce was finalized in 2012.
