According to early estimates on sacnilk, ‘The Odyssey’ collected Rs 6.50 crore nett on 6th (Wednesday) from 8,268 shows in India. The film registered a 22.2% decline from Tuesday’s net collection of Rs 8.35 crore.

‘The Odyssey’ registers a good box office in India

‘The Odyssey’ began its theatrical run with a net opening of Rs 17.40 crore on Friday before witnessing substantial weekend growth. By the end of its debut weekend, the film had collected around Rs 61.30 crore nett, driven by strong occupancy in premium IMAX formats and positive word of mouth.Although the weekday collections dipped to around Rs 8 crore, the epic managed to hold steady at the box office before the biggest drop on Wednesday.

‘Odyssey’ crosses Rs 100 crore mark

Taking into account the film’s earnings on Wednesday, the film now has a total India net collection of around Rs 84.15 crore, while its India gross collection has reached approximately Rs 100.38 crore.The latest figures make ‘The Odyssey’ only the 21st Hollywood release to cross Rs 100 crore gross in India. This huge achievement marks the second Christopher Nolan and Matt Damon film to achieve the milestone in the country. The two previously worked on the blockbuster, ‘Oppenheimer’ (2023), which remains among the top 10 highest-grossing Hollywood releases in India with a lifetime collection of Rs 128.46 crore.

The English version continues to dominate

The original English version of the film has remained the biggest contributor to its overall earnings in India. Of the Rs 84.15 crore net collected so far, the English version has accounted for approximately Rs 66.55 crore, underscoring the strong demand for Nolan’s films in their original language.Meanwhile, the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions have collectively contributed less than Rs 20 crore, adding to the film’s domestic total.
