New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a major recruitment drive as part of the reform process. The administration should be better. The agency has fired 47 senior officials and embarked on a process of appointing senior and junior professionals to strengthen transparency, accountability and organizational strength.Operating under the Ministry of Education, the NTA has issued an advertisement for the recruitment of four General Managers. On the other hand, it has opened jobs for 16 Young Professionals through UPSC’s Pratibha Setu portal for the first time. This project is one of the first major projects that have been carried out following the recommendations of the high-level committee headed by Professor K. Radhakrishnan.Four General Managers to oversee complex projectsThe General Manager for Assessment Research and Development and Psychometrics will oversee the development of the question bank, test standardization, equating and calibration, Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) and AI assessment systems.The General Manager of Test Center Network Operations will oversee test centers in more than 500 cities across India and select international locations. Responsibilities include quality standards, skill development, workplaces for people with different disabilities, exam day arrangements and collaboration with local and state governments.The General Manager of Information Security will serve as the Chief Information Security Officer of NTA. This work includes ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, IT Act, 2000, CERT-In guidelines and monitoring the 24×7 Security Operations Center.Youth Jobs to be selected through UPSC portalNTA will recruit 16 Young Professionals through the UPSC Pratibha Setu portal, including 12 posts for academic research, two for legal research and two for finance and accounts. Other changes planned under the recommendations of the expert committeeThe agency said that recruitment will follow the 10 verticals recommended by the expert committee. It is also planning to launch a new team of news specialists and translators in the coming weeks.The UPSC Pratibha Setu, formerly known as the Public Disclosure Scheme, publishes the details of those who have appeared for the examination but were not admitted when asked. Launched on August 20, 2018, the scheme covers candidates for the Civil Services, Indian Forest Service, Central Armed Police Force, Engineering Services, Combined Geo-Scientist, CDS, Indian Economic Service, Indian Statistical Service and Combined Medical Services.
