The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the revised NEET SS 2025 Round 2 counseling schedule after the Supreme Court ordered the restoration of 151 Super Specialty medical seats in the central pool. The order has settled the long-standing dispute over Tamil Nadu job vacancies under the All India Quota (AIQ) system.The Supreme Court has ordered that the remaining consultations should be completed within two weeks. Tamil Nadu passed a resolution seeking to retain 151 vacant seats in the Super Specialty instead of returning them to the central pool.On July 29, 2026, the Supreme Court rejected the efforts and ordered that all 151 seats be restored. The MCC must now complete the sessions pending counseling within the standard 14 days.
