Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Nandamuri Balakrishna Sunday at Hyderabad Hospital. The Tollywood veteran is recuperating after undergoing knee surgery following an injury sustained during the shooting of his upcoming film ‘NBK111’ directed by Gopichand Malineni. The CM met the actor, spoke to the director and asked him about his health and recovery.
Chandrababu Naidu visits Balakrishna
According to an IANS report, CM N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Balakrishna at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) in Hyderabad, where the actor is undergoing treatment. N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is also Balakrishna’s brother-in-law, inquired about his health and wished him a speedy recovery. While meeting the director and team, he discussed the actor’s treatment and rehabilitation plan.Earlier, both Chandrababu Naidu and Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh had spoken to Balakrishna after he suffered the injury and wished him a speedy recovery.According to the hospital, the operation lasted more than three hours. During the operation, doctors removed the pooled blood around the injured area, reattached the torn quadriceps tendon to the kneecap, and repaired the damaged supporting tissues around the knee.
Balakrishna’s daughter updates on her health
Balakrishna’s daughter Nara Brahmani also shared an update about her father through her Instagram post. “Update on Naana: The surgery was a complete success! He is now back to his full energy and will be back in action very soon. Thank you all so much for the overwhelming love and prayers that have been poured in for him – we are truly indebted to everyone,” she wrote.
Balakrishna underwent a successful surgery
For the uninitiated, Nandamuri Balakrishna suffered the injury while filming an action sequence for ‘NBK111’. The next day, he was flown to Hyderabad after receiving initial treatment. Medical examinations found a tear in the left quadriceps tendon along with injuries to the supporting tissues around the knee.After a full medical evaluation, the doctors decided that surgery was necessary. Balakrishna underwent the operation on July 23 and the hospital confirmed that the procedure was successfully completed without any complications.
