MTET 2026 hall ticket released as candidates prepare for July 24 exam in Meghalaya

MTET 2026 Hall Ticket: The Directorate of Educational Research and Training (DERT), Meghalaya, has released the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) 2026 admit card for applicants. The hall tickets were issued on July 10, 2026, before the state exam on July 24, 2026. Candidates can download their admit cards from DERT official portal by logging in with registration or application number and password.MTET 2026 will be conducted offline, paper and paper and will consist of two papers. Paper I is meant for candidates who are qualified to teach Classes I to V, while Paper II is for those who want to teach Classes VI to VIII. Candidates are advised to download and print their hall tickets before the date of writing.Steps to download hall ticketCandidates have to go to the official website of DERT Meghalaya and open the admit card download link available on the home page. After entering the registration or application number and password, they can send information to get a valid card.As soon as the document appears on the screen, candidates should download the PDF and print it properly to use it on the day of the exam. The department has also issued the admit card through the Meghalaya Education Portal.Revised exam scheduleThe MTET 2026 examination was originally scheduled for May 29, 2026, but it was postponed after Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma announced the change as many serving teachers were given the duties of Census and Special Intensive Revision.According to the revised schedule, the admit card was released on July 10, 2026, while the exam will be held on July 24, 2026. The results are expected to be declared in August 2026. Sample test and support toolsThe examination will be conducted in two parts, with Paper I usually held in the morning and Paper II in the afternoon. As per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines adopted by the Meghalaya education department, the relevant MTET certificate will be valid for life.Candidates facing technical difficulties while downloading the admit card can seek help from DERT office through email or visit their District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) or DERT Shillong office with an admit slip to get a printed copy.
