Nicholas Galitzine‘Masters of the Universe’ is officially ready for its OTT release! The film, a direct live-action adaptation of the toy line franchise, will be released online soon. If you missed the magic of the beloved characters on the big screen, it will soon be available on OTT to watch from the comfort of your own home.
‘Masters of the Universe’ OTT release date
It has been confirmed that the film is scheduled to be released online on OTT platforms for everyone to watch. It will be available exclusively on Prime Video on July 22 of this month. The film pre-released in theaters worldwide on June 5. The official release announcement was shared online, where the official Instagram page of the film posted about it. They shared a video of the film along with “Listen! Watch Masters of the Universe – July 22nd on Prime Video,” written in the caption.

Based on the popular He-Man toy line, Nicholas Galitzine stars as He-Man, a boy who has just discovered his powers. Once he accepts his fate, he must do everything in his power to save the kingdom of a royal planet along with all the other kingdoms. The official synopsis reads: “A young man on Earth discovers a fabulous secret legacy as the prince of an alien planet and must retrieve a magical sword and return home to protect his kingdom.” Alongside Galitzine, Jared Leto also stars in the film as one of the main antagonists, the infamous Skeletor, who is determined to take over all the kingdoms.Other cast members include Morena Baccarin as the witch. Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, James Purefoy as King Randor, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms and Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena. The franchise returned to the big screen after nearly 39 years, the last film, starring Dolph Lundgren, was released in 1987. According to reports from Box Office Mojo, the film earned $114 million at the box office against a global production cost of $170 million to $200 million.
