Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has declared the result of allotment of 3 seats for the counseling process 2026. Candidates who have registered for the counseling can now check their allotment by visiting the official website, josaa.nic.in.To get the result, candidates must login using their Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 application number, password and security pin.Candidates who have been given a seat in round 3 must complete the online reports, including paying the fee, uploading the documents and answering any verification questions, within the deadline.
JoSAA part 3 counseling process
According to the approval process:
- Online reporting (payment of fees, uploading documents and answering questions) will continue till July 8, 2026.
- The last date to resolve the issues of payment of fees and answer the questions of verification of documents is July 9, 2026.
- The seat cancellation/exit option will be available from July 7 to July 8, 2026.
- The deadline for answering questions about the withdrawal is July 9, 2026.
- The Round 4 seat allotment results will be announced on July 10, 2026.
Fees for receiving seats
Candidates who have accepted their allotted seat will have to pay the seat acceptance fee as follows:
- General, Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates: Rs 35,000
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Rs 15,000
Freeze, float and slide options
Candidates can choose one of the following options after accepting their allotted seat:
- Turn off: Choose this option if you are satisfied with your assigned seat and do not want to participate in other rounds.
- Contact: Choose this option if you want to stay in the current seat but want to be considered for a better position in the upcoming races.
- Slides: Choose this option if you want a good course or branch in the same school.
JoSAA has advised candidates to check the counseling website regularly to ensure updates and complete all admissions on time. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your assigned seat.
How to manage JoSAA round 3 2026 seat allocation results
Candidates can follow these steps to download the distributed results:
- Visit the official website, josaa.nic.in.
- Click on the “JoSAA Round 3 Seat Allotment Result 2026” link on the landing page.
- Enter your JEE Main 2026 application number, password and security pin.
- Click on the register button.
- Your seat allotment results will appear on the screen.
- Copy the distribution letter and print it for future reference.
