While acknowledging that the makers took inspiration from two scenes from Bhagavanth Kesari, he clarified that Jana Nayagan is not a scene-by-scene recreation, but presents an original story with a completely different narrative structure and conflict. The producer expressed confidence that the film’s emotional impact would resonate with audiences.

The film also has a star cast with Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain and Priyamani.
