Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde starrer ‘Jana Nayagan’ has entered its first Tuesday at the box office after enjoying an impressive opening weekend. As expected, the film has slowed down during the weekdays but continues to add to its overall collections in India.According to Sacnilk’s latest live estimates, the film has earned an estimated 98 lakhs nett in India on Day 6. The film is currently playing in 3,106 shows across the country. As the numbers are based on live tracking, the final total of Day 6 is expected to increase once the evening and night show collections are added.With the latest estimates, “Jana Nayagan” has taken its net collection in India to approximately Rs 135.88 crore. The Tamil version continues to drive the business
The Tamil version remains the highest contributor to the film’s collections. On Tuesday, it collected an estimated 82 lakhs nett. The Hindi version brought in approximately 9 lakhs while the Telugu version added another 7 lakhs to the grand total. The film is currently being screened in 1,364 Tamil shows, 1,419 Hindi shows and 323 Telugu shows, taking the total count of shows to 3,106 across the country. The Tamil version recorded an overall morning occupancy of 19.08%, comfortably leading among the three language versions. The Telugu version followed with 14.90% while the Hindi version registered 8.58% during the morning shows. These numbers are expected to improve as more audiences attend the afternoon, evening and night shows.
Collections decline after strong opening weekend
‘Jana Nayagan’ opened its weekday journey after posting impressive weekend numbers. The film collected Rs 32 crore nett on its first Sunday before witnessing a significant decline of over 50% to Rs 10.15 crore on Monday.
The OTT launch is still awaiting official confirmation
While the theatrical run continues, there has been no official announcement regarding the film’s digital release. Reports suggest that Jana Nayagan might hit ZEE5 sometime in mid-August 2026, after its theatrical release on July 23. However, the makers have not confirmed the streaming date. Directed by H. Vinoth, the action drama stars Thalapathy Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Mamita Baijuetc Bobby Deol in fundamental roles.
