Thalapathy Vijay‘Jana Nayagan’ has entered its opening day on a slower note after enjoying a solid opening weekend at the box office. The film had crossed Rs 200 crore worldwide within four days of its release. The latest figure marks a 68.3% drop from Sunday’s nett collection of Rs 32 crore.
The worldwide collection is over Rs 233 crore
‘Jana Nayagan’ has taken its net collection in India to Rs 134.90 crore. The film’s Indian gross now stands at Rs 157.74 crore.On Monday, the film added Rs 4 crore gross internationally. This took its overseas total to Rs 75.50 crore gross. As a result, the film’s worldwide gross collection has increased to around Rs 233.24 crore.The film was screened in 10,436 shows across the country on Monday. The figure was lower than Sunday’s 12,107 shows.The Tamil version grossed Rs 8.40 crore nett and the Hindi version earned Rs 1.20 crore nett while the Telugu version brought in Rs 55 lakhs.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed 65 lakhs while Kerala added 70 lakhs. Rest of India grossed Rs 1.26 crore, taking the film’s Day 5 total to Rs 11.76 crore.
Employment sees a better step in the evening
The Tamil version recorded an overall occupancy of 32.65% on Monday. Audience participation improved during the night shows which registered 40.15% occupancy. Evening shows followed closely behind with 36.31%.The Hindi version reported an overall occupancy of 12.48%. Their night shows witnessed the highest attendance at 17.50%.Meanwhile, the Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of 17.40%. The afternoon shows were the best with 19.90% occupancy.
