The film entered its first Saturday with live collections coming in steadily.According to Sacnilk’s latest live estimates, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has collected Rs 1.94 crore nett in India so far on Day 3. The net collection from India stands at Rs 65.79 crore
‘Jana Nayagan’ has taken its total India net collection to Rs 65.79 crore. The film’s Indian gross collection has also risen to Rs 77.29 crore.The Tamil version has brought in Rs 1.86 crore nett from 1574 live shows. The Telugu version has earned Rs 3 lakhs from 332 shows so far.The film opened with an impressive Rs 42.70 crore nett on the first day. It followed that performance with Rs 21.15 crore nett on Day 2. These collections helped the film comfortably cross the Indian milestone of Rs 50 crore in just two days after its release.
The worldwide total remains above Rs 112 crore
‘Jana Nayagan’ has also fetched solid numbers in overseas markets. By the end of Day 2, the film had grossed Rs 37.50 crore internationally.The overseas total includes Rs 10 crore gross earned on the second day alone. Combined with its domestic performance, the film’s worldwide gross reached Rs 112.50 crore after two days in theatres.
Day 2 saw the expected drop after the opening at the box office
After its massive opening day performance, ‘Jana Nayagan’ witnessed a decline on Friday. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 21.15 crore nett on Day 2 compared to Rs 42.70 crore nett on its opening day. This represents a 50.5 percent drop in daily collections.With the first weekend still underway, all eyes are now on whether the Saturday evening and Sunday collections can improve the film’s momentum.
