What ETimes said about the film

ETimes, in its review of Jana Nayagan, wrote: “Jana Nayagan, Vijay’s last film, was designed as a big-budget campaign vehicle for its star’s political ambitions, and while its certification woes might have led to a post-election release (with Vijay not really needing its release to win the election), it offers ample proof of his stardom. It shows how a star can elevate the dullest script and make it passable.DISCLAIMER: Box office numbers and data in this article are collected from public and industry sources.
