However, he said he was truly happy when Mammootty was announced as one of the winners.He said, “I feel proud and happy to have been considered for the award alongside Mammootty. When I heard that my name was also on the list, I was extremely tensed. I am delighted that Malayan cinema has once again received recognition at the National Film Awards. I am even happier that the award went to Mammootty.”
