Actress and filmmaker Olivia Wilde has opened up about his changing opinion Elon Musksaying she now “deeply resents” the billionaire and never imagined she would become the person she is today.Speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast, the Don’t Worry Darling director reflected on meeting Musk years ago during a visit to SpaceX based in Los Angeles.
“I feel very deeply for him”
Wilde revealed that he visited SpaceX when the company had recently established its headquarters. At the time, Musk had expressed interest in supporting a charity he was involved with in Haiti, which focused on building hospitals and schools.“I really resent him now. I really resent him deeply,” Wilde said.Recalling the meeting, he added: “I met him many, many years ago. I think SpaceX had just built their headquarters in LA. and I went on tour because I wanted to see the rockets.”He said Musk had expressed interest in donating to the organization.“He was interested in giving money to an organization I was a part of in Haiti that was building hospitals and schools. I think he gave some money, and that’s appreciated.”
“He seemed very intelligent”
Wilde admitted that while she found Musk smart during their interaction, she never expected his public persona to evolve the way it has.“I was confused by him. I never would have predicted that he would go the way he has. He seemed very intelligent,” she said.Summing up how he now sees the billionaire, Wilde added that he had known him well “before he became a creature.”His remarks come amid Musk’s continued prominence in global politics, business and social media, where his statements and actions often generate widespread debate.
