On Friday, shortly after the release of Christopher Nolan‘The Odyssey’ Indian fans in the US and UK set social media abuzz when they released clips from the teaser of Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starring on the IMAX screen.
‘Ramayana’ teaser loses its yellow tint
However, the footage has now led fans to speculate that producer Namit Malhotra may have subtly reworked the footage following comments about the film’s first look. Videos shot inside the theaters have been circulating on social media, with several users claiming that the teaser now features a less saturated and more natural-looking color grade than the previous yellow-toned version released earlier this year.
Fans react to the new color palette
Sharing the clip, one user wrote, “#Ramayana They have changed the color palette to warm yellow.” Another praised the apparent tweak, commenting: “Thank goodness they worked on the warm yellow color palette. It looks much more photorealistic and refined now.”Several others praised the creators for actively responding to public feedback. “This means they’ve worked on the comments, hopefully they’ll have more changes like this,” one social media user posted, while another shared: “The first one looks bigger, but the second one looks more realistic. So I’m happy with the change.”However, not everyone believes that the teaser has been altered. Some users argued that the color difference could simply be the result of cell phone recordings. “Believe it or not, they didn’t change anything in this scene, it looks different because it’s recorded on the phone,” the comment read.
‘Ramayana’ gears up for trailer release
After releasing the teaser and ‘Rama First Glimpse’, the team is gearing up for the trailer release on 24th July. According to reports, the makers have got the certification for two trailers, with one being 4 minutes and the other being 4 minutes and 15 seconds.The team will reportedly launch the clip at Comic Con, in front of an audience of over 4,800 people. The clip will also debut globally at the same time.Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The epic also features Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The film will be released in a two-part epic saga, with the first part slated for Diwali 2026 and the second installment slated for Diwali 2027.
