The Central Board of Secondary Education has established the LOC process for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026, with schools that must register candidates by July 8. The board has explained the eligibility criteria, exam fees and referral procedures, warning that students whose names are not included in the LOC will lose the opportunity to attend the supplementary examination.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 and started the process of issuing the List of Candidates (LOC). CBSE affiliated schools have been advised to complete online recruitment through the Pariksha Sangam portal within the stipulated time.The board has also made it clear that students whose names are not in the LOC will not be allowed to appear for the supplementary examination.

Schools are advised to issue LOC through Pariksha Sangam

As per the official notification, the schools have to login to the Pariksha Sangam website using their credentials and issue LOC to the eligible students.The online submission window will be open from June 30 to July 8, 2026. CBSE has directed the schools to include all the students belonging to the Compartment, even if they are unable to communicate with them. The board said failure to submit the student’s name to the LOC will make the student ineligible for the supplementary examination.

School students should contact their schools

Students who appeared for the 2026 Class 12 Board examination who have enrolled in CBSE affiliated schools and declared in the Compartment category should attend the school from which they came for the main examination. Their schools will support their names in the supplementary examination.The board has advised students not to wait till the deadline and ensure that their details are submitted before the deadline.

Eligible students to appear

CBSE has announced the categories of people who can apply for the Class 12 supplementary examination 2026.Eligible categories are:

  • Students who got their first chance after being announced in the room category in the 2026 Class 12 Board exam.
  • Students who want to succeed after passing the exam following the revision of the syllabus in the 2026 main exam.
  • Students who have passed the 2026 Board examination and want to improve their marks in one subject.
  • Students who have qualified for the third division, who have appeared in the Class 12 examination in 2025. These candidates can apply as individual candidates.

Additional accounting fees

Candidates will have to pay the fee online through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI.The payment schedule is as follows:

Only joint papers are eligible

CBSE has clarified that the combined certificate will be issued only to those students whose results in the 2026 Board examination were declared as Compartment and they passed the 2026 supplementary examination.Trying to follow the existing syllabusThe board said that supplementary examination will be conducted on the syllabus of Class 12 Board examination for 2025-26.
