Aquamarine TV series: Emma Roberts to reprise iconic role of Claire Brown in new ‘Aquamarine’ TV series
The 35-year-old actress, who rose to fame in the popular drama film ‘Chick-flick’, will return to the world of ‘Aquamarine’. According to the latest reports, she will reprise her role as Claire Brown and also join the show behind the camera.
Emma Roberts to return to the ‘Aquamarine’ series
PEOPLE confirmed with their latest reports that a pilot episode for the ‘Aquamarine’ reboot has been confirmed. With the series officially in development, one of the original film’s most popular alumni is slated to join the project both onscreen and behind the scenes. Emma Roberts, best known for her roles in ‘We’re The Millers’, ‘American Horror Story’ and ‘Scream Queens’ to name a few, will play Claire Brown. She will also join the series as an executive producer.In addition, the director of the original film, Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, will return for the reboot project, raising expectations and excitement among fans. Susan Cartsonis will also join as executive producer.
Registration line for the ‘Aquamarine’ series
The series’ official log line has been released, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming episodes. The log line reads: “When teenage Coral moves to a dreamy seaside town, she begins to uncover the truth behind her mother’s disappearance, and discovers that her mother was a mermaid, awakening magical powers in Coral just as secrets beneath the waves threaten to rise to the surface.”
About the movie ‘Aquamarine’
Emma Roberts will return to the world of ‘Aquamarine’ nearly two decades after starring in the film alongside Sara Paxton, JoJo, Jake McDorman, Arielle Kebbel, Tammin Sursokand many others. The film’s plot revolves around two best friends, who meet a stranded mermaid and decide to help her live life as a human, while trying to get her away from her father, who is about to force her into an arranged marriage. The film is based on the works of children’s author Alice Hoffman.
