Breaking her silence, the veteran singer said her comments had been taken out of context and sensationalized, resulting in a distorted interpretation of what she was trying to convey. The controversy is born AnuradhaJournalist Shubhankar Mishra’s recent podcast appearance where he questioned India’s ‘Vishwaguru’ narrative while discussing issues related to education. He argued that the reported closure of thousands of schools raises concerns about the country’s readiness to become a world leader.The veteran singer took to Instagram and said her recent comments have been taken out of context. Anuradha shared a note expressing her respect for India and its leadership, while asserting that every citizen has the right to express their views with respect. “Namaskar to all my family friends and followers. I appreciate the love and respect you have given me for my work. I also love and respect my nation and its leadership. All citizens, including me, understand that we must be educated to grow and lead in this world. I will always stand by it. We can all express our opinions respectfully in this country.”He also objected to the online distribution of clipped versions of their conversation, insisting that they did not reflect the full context.“But it really bothers me when a conversation is taken out of context and sensationalized by setting the wrong tone. I do not endorse these videos and ask people not to encourage these creators. Note that this is not a clarification, but no one can use a conversation out of context for their convenience.”Reflecting on how her views have evolved over time, the singer said that she no longer sees the situation in the same way as before. He added, “Several years ago, I also believed that India would become a Vishwaguru. But now I see more and more things happening that seem to contradict that view. This nonsense must be stopped.”Anuradha also referred to the alleged Ram Mandir donation scam, saying reports of such incidents at a place of immense religious importance were worrisome. He added that if India truly aspires to become a ‘Vishwaguru’, it must first uphold the values and principles associated with this ideal. The singer also reiterated her concern for education, stating that a large number of schools across the country have been closed.
