The spy action film ‘Alpha’, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead roles, continued its steady run at the box office on Sunday, ending its debut weekend on a high. According to box office reports, the film registered a healthy growth in collections on Sunday, thereby crossing the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office in the opening weekend.
Box office collection ‘Alpha’ Day 3
According to early box office estimates, ‘Alpha’ collected Rs 13.25 crore nett in India on Day 3 across 7,439 shows. According to the report, this was a 15.2 percent increase in collections over Saturday’s nett total of Rs 11.50 crore.With Sunday’s earnings, the film’s total India net collection now stands at around Rs 34 crore, while its India gross has reached Rs 40.80 crore.
‘Alpha’ launches weekend collections
The film which marks the first female-starrer installment in the YRF spy universe, opened on Friday with an estimated net collection of Rs 9.25 crore, before witnessing strong weekend growth. According to the report, the film’s collections rose to Rs 11.50 crore on Saturday and closed at its highest collections on Sunday, following positive word of mouth and good reviews.
‘Alpha’ makes the highest gains on Sunday
Sunday also turned out to be the film’s biggest day at the domestic box office, with the Indian gross estimated at Rs 15.90 crore. According to Sacnilk, the film’s weekend growth suggests strong traction among urban and multi-centre audiences, with metro cities among the highest collections. The film will now look to maintain steady collections and build on its opening weekend performance.
‘Alpha’ Box Office Collections Abroad
Overseas, “Alpha” maintained a solid performance, earning around Rs 5 crore gross on the third day.
