AIBE 21 final answer for 2026: The Bar Council of India (BCI) is planning to release the AIBE 21 (XXI) Final Answer Key 2026 on July 10, 2026. The revised answer key will incorporate the changes made after reviewing the objections raised against the provisional answer key and will be published on all question papers.After the release of the final answer key, the results of AIBE 21 are expected to be announced between July 15 and July 18, 2026. The results will determine the eligibility of candidates to receive a Certificate of Practice (CoP), which is valid to practice law before courts and tribunals in India.AIBE 21 probationary periodThe exam started with the written test which was held on June 7, 2026. The provisional answer keys and individual answer sheets were released on June 10, allowing candidates to compare their answers.The online objection window was open from June 10 to June 17, during which respondents could temporarily object to any answer in the park. After analyzing these objections, BCI finalized the revised answer key, which is due to be released on July 10. The final scorecards are expected to be announced between July 15 and July 18.How to download the final keyOnce the answer key is available, candidates can access the set wise PDFs of Sets A, B, C and D through the official website of the All India Bar Examination portal.Candidates should open the official website, find the information section or the “AIBE XXI Final Answer Key 2026” link on the landing page, and open the attached PDF. They can then compare the revised answers with the question booklet that will be used for the exam.AIBE 21 qualifying marksCandidates belonging to General and OBC categories must secure 45 percent marks to qualify for the Examination Certificate. Candidates from SC and ST categories should get at least 40 percent marks.The test has no negative marking for incorrect or unanswered questions. If BCI accepts any deleted questions or grace marks after re-evaluation, these changes will be reflected in the final release key on July 10.Candidate participation and previous exam performanceThe BCI has reported a significant rise in participation in the recent exams. AIBE 21 is said to have scored around 2.65 lakh candidates, which represents an increase of around 75 per cent from those who failed in the two exams.The previous results show that AIBE 18 (2023) had about 1.44 lakh candidates with a pass percentage of 48.36%. AIBE 19 (2024) registered 77.27 percent. In AIBE 20 (2025), 2,51,968 candidates took the exam, of which 1,74,386 passed, making the pass rate 69.21%.For AIBE 21, the total number of candidates is estimated to be around 2.65 lakh, while the number of qualified and pass percentage will be announced along with the results.More about gender-sensitive participationAccording to the latest BCI statistics, 1,65,613 men took the exam, and 1,13,063 qualified.Of the women who were nominated, 86,336 appeared and 61,310 acted. BCI also recorded the participation of 19 shortlisted candidates, out of which 13 qualified.Leave question marks in AIBEAIBE’s evaluation process also includes a phase to remove incorrect or incorrect questions from the final evaluation.During AIBE 20, five questions were dropped after review, reducing the total score from 100 to 95. If the BCI shows similar discrepancies during the AIBE 21 review, the final score will be adjusted accordingly.Certificate of Implementation process after resultsCandidates who qualify in AIBE 21 are eligible to receive a Certificate of Practice issued by BCI. The certificate allows lawyers to represent clients and participate in courts and tribunals across India.Candidates who do not obtain a Certificate of Practice after passing the examination cannot continue to practice once the two-year validity of their provisional registration with the State Bar Council has expired.The digital verification of the Test Certificate is expected to be available through the official AIBESCOPE app three to four weeks after the results are announced. The physical certificate is usually sent to the State Bar Council within three to five months after the results are announced.Procedure for collection of Test CertificateCandidates should refer to the information provided by their State Bar Councils regarding the distribution of licenses.At the time of collection, candidates must go to the State Bar Council office with their provisional ID, state registration certificate and a copy of the relevant AIBE 21. After the verification of the document, the Probate Certificate number and lifetime Bar Council identification will be issued.
