TMZ recently reported that the 39-year-old and Kennedy had been together for about 10 years. However, the couple recently separated and have officially filed for divorce. From the statements in the report, it was revealed that the actress had been the one to file for divorce on July 8, earlier this month.The report also shared that Elliott is opting to get joint physical and legal custody of their children, Edith, who is five, and William, who is 3. Another request for spousal support and attorney’s fees was also mentioned in court.As of this writing, neither Elliot nor Kennedy have made any public statements about their split.

The former ‘Saturday Night Live’ star and the producer first met while working together on ‘Sex Ed.’ Kennedy had been working on the film as a screenwriter, while the actress had been hired to play the role of Trish.
