When fans and netizens shared on platforms like X and Instagram that they had received mysterious lyrics with the CD “I Knew It, I Knew You” inside the scrap paper used for cushioning, Aaron Lewis was completely shocked.He later shared that the junk role, which many fans thought was of the ‘Opalite’ singer, is in fact part of his upcoming album, ‘Give Me Back My Country’, which will be released worldwide on July 17. On his X account, the singer had posted a video of a fan unboxing his CD and revealing mysterious photos and lyrics on the packaging material.She shared the video along with the caption: “Look, there’s my new album, not out yet, shredded like wrapping paper on Taylor Swift merch. Ain’t shit.” Parts of his lyric book and other printed material intended for his album were pasted together with the package material.

Aaron Lewis opens up about the incident

While speaking with USA Today, Aaron explained how surprising the incident was since his album has yet to be released. She shared that she first learned about the incident after encountering fans of the singer making unboxing videos, trying to decipher her lyrics and wondering if they were Swift’s.He added: “I don’t see anything like that, and when they brought this up to me, I said, ‘What’s going on?’ This is weird’. This is the cover of my new record that hasn’t been released yet. It’s not like it’s old stuff that was just sitting around that they decided to make packaging material for. It’s my new record. I just don’t understand how something like that can happen.”He also clarified that he does not blame Swift or her team for the problem, as he himself does not know what exactly happened. At the time of writing, no statements have been made by the ‘Blank Space’ singer.
