Aamir Khan and his longtime partner Gauri Spratt began a new chapter in their lives after tying the knot in an intimate wedding registered at their Pali Hill residence in Bandra, Mumbai on July 6. Instead of hosting a lavish celebrity affair, the couple opted for a private ceremony attended only by their children, close family and a handful of friends. While her low-key celebration won hearts, now it’s Gauri’s exquisite wedding ring that has become the talk of the town. The centerpiece of Aamir’s wedding gift to Gauri is a custom-made ring. It features an exceptionally rare cabochon-cut natural ruby from Madagascar, mounted on a gold crown-inspired mount adorned with 40 natural diamonds. Finding the perfect ruby reportedly took nearly three months because less than 0.1 percent of rubies are believed to meet this extraordinary standard of quality. The ring itself required over 256 hours of meticulous work and was created by 131 pairs of skilled hands. This is not the first piece of personalized jewelery that Aamir has gifted Gauri. Earlier this year, she was spotted wearing another unique ring featuring a rare Brazilian aquamarine surrounded by 40 natural diamonds, which was also specially commissioned by the actor.Aamir and Gauri’s wedding stood out for its understated charm and deeply personal touches. Staying true to his preference for simplicity, the actor skipped a big celebration in favor of an intimate ceremony shared only with his loved ones.Adding an emotional family element to the occasion, Aamir’s son Azad Rao Khan and Gauri’s son Quinn took on the role of ring bearers, making the ceremony even more memorable. For the wedding, Gauri Spratt chose a custom creation from Sabyasachi Mukherjee which reflected effortless elegance. Moving away from the traditional bridal palette, she wore a muted lehenga embellished with intricate white floral embroidery, paired with a sheer dupatta and layered polki jewelery accented with emerald accents. Her beauty look complemented the outfit perfectly. Her make-up artist shared a video revealing that Gauri went for a ‘second skin’ approach to her make-up, while her hair was styled in a relaxed bohemian fishtail to the side decorated with delicate white flowers, completing her minimalist yet sophisticated bridal look.
