Earlier this month, Aamir and Gauri tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the actor’s Bandra residence. The registered wedding ceremony was attended by family and close friends.According to ANI, days after the wedding, Maulana Ibrahim Hussain, the Shahi Chief Mufti of the Darul Ifta Muslim Staff, issued a fatwa against Aamir Khan on the marriage, stating that it is not Sharia-compliant as Gauri is not a Muslim.In response to the controversy, Aamir clarified that Gauri is not Hindu, as many had assumed, and reiterated that religion has never been a condition in their marriages.
