Although “Hera Pheri 3” is mired in legal hurdles, Suniel Shetty I haven’t lost hope. The actor believes the success of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ could pave the way for the long-awaited comedy to finally move forward. Calling ‘Hera Pheri’ the biggest comedy franchise of his career, Suniel admitted that he hopes the film will eventually go on sale and reach audiences, largely because of the immense nostalgia associated with it.Suniel said in an interview with Hindustan Times, “Hera Pheri is the biggest comedy franchise of my career and the nostalgia attached to it is so heartwarming. The constant memes there, and with its recall value, who wouldn’t want that to happen? Fingers crossed, hopefully after Welcome To The Jungle, something magical should happen.”The actor also shared his thoughts on the importance of family entertainers, saying the success of films like ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ would benefit the entire industry.“The success of any film is a success for the industry, especially at a time when we’ve forgotten what family entertainment means and what it means to be inclusive with grandparents and grandchildren.”Crediting producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s vision, Suniel added, “The mindset of Disney is the mindset of Firoz Nadiadwala, and that is the reason for the success of Welcome To The Jungle. I am happy, excited and hope that many more family entertainers come into play.”The actor also talked about getting back together Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and several other veteran stars of the ensemble cast. He said the film allows all the actors to shine despite its star-studded line-up.“The beautiful part about the film is that despite having so many iconic actors, you can still find your niche and be appreciated like anyone else. Success is Akshay’s as much as Raveena’s, Paresh bhai’s, Johnny’s, me or any other actor’s.”Looking back on the experience, Suniel said that he did not hesitate to share screen space with such famous actors.“Films like this give you a chance to get back into the hearts of the audience. I took Akshay, Paresh ji and Raveena to be part of this hit franchise, and I’m glad I made that choice. I’m glad I’m not insecure with these people around me,” concluded the actor. His comments come shortly after the director Priyadarshan announced his exit from ‘Hera Pheri 3’ and claimed that the film would never be made. While the statement disappointed fans of the beloved franchise, Suniel’s optimism has given plenty of reason to hope that the project will still find a way forward.
