Director Nitesh Tiwari’s epic ‘Ramayana‘ is slated for a big international showcase, with the makers officially announcing that the film will be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con. Just a day after reports indicated that the makers have planned a grand trailer launch in Delhi on July 18, the official SDCC lineup was announced on Thursday.According to the listing, ‘Ramayana’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash in lead roles, is all set for release on July 23, 2026. Producer Namit Malhotra is expected to join the leading men of the film and director Tiwari to unveil the trailer of the film to an international audience.

Screenshots of the film’s listing in the official schedule were posted online. It read: “In an age of gods and kings, the fate of the worlds hangs in the balance. Rama, a prince bound by duty, sacrifice and the greater good, must face off against Ravana, an immortal ruler driven by pride and revenge, powerful enough to shatter the cosmos. ‘Ramayana’ panel: Date, time and place
The presentation is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. on July 23 in Ballroom 20, San Diego Comic-Con’s second largest venue, which reportedly holds approximately 4,800 attendees. The venue is second only to the convention’s iconic Hall H and is traditionally reserved for some of the event’s biggest studio presentations.According to reports, this makes “Ramayana” only the second Indian film to receive a big showcase at the San Diego Comic-Con after “Kalki 2898 AD”.The Comic-Con appearance is expected to be a key part of the film’s international marketing campaign, as the team is planning a major launch for global audiences. The creators are also rumored to drop exclusive content for those attending the event.

Before leaving for the US, however, Ranbir, Yash, director Tiwari and producer Malhotra will officially release the first trailer in India. The trailer will be unveiled at a grand event at Bharat Mandapam on July 18, marking the start of the film’s full-scale promotional campaign.‘Ramayana’ cast and release dateAccording to a report on Variety India, the New Delhi release will give audiences their widest look yet at the ambitious adaptation that sees Kapoor playing Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra.
